Episode Description

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, your favorite place to learn about the things you love and discover (hopefully) things you didn’t know you will love. This week, we may have one of the latter for you, but first, there’s quite a bit of news to cover.

A while back, we learned that Disney would be changing The Jungle Cruise to make it more suitable for the times we live in. Last week, they announced that part of this change will be a new character named Alberta Falls (granddaughter to Albert Falls). She will be the owner and proprietor of The Jungle Cruise and, of course, has connections to SEA.
There was quite a bit of movie news so here. we. go. Black Widow was pushed back yet again to July and will be available as a premium rental on Disney+. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was pushed back as well. Also, Luca, Pixar’s next film, will be released on Disney+ just as Soul was: absolutely free.
Lastly, Disney announced Disneyland Forward, a project that will rezone their existing property to allow them to expand the shopping, restaurants, and rides at Disneyland in California.
This week, we’re so excited to talk about “Destino” a short collaboration that was over 50 years in the making and allowed two of the greatest artistic visionaries of their time to create a beautiful work of art together. If you didn’t already know, “Destino” is a project that was worked on by both Salvador Dalí, the famous surrealist painter of “The Persistence of Memory,” and Walt Disney. It’s available to watch on Disney+, so if you have a spare 6 minutes, be sure to check it out. Everything about this short, from the final product itself to how it finally got made, to Disney and Dalí’s legendary first meeting is interesting so sit back, relax, and let us tell you a story.
Thank you as always for tuning in. Don’t forget to rate and review us on your favorite podcatcher. And as always, have a magical week!
